EU-MACS: COP24

On Wednesday 5.12.2018 EU-MACS took part in a joint side-event at COP24 facilitated by the EU. Jaroslav Mysiak (CMCC; H2020_CLARA) had gone at great length to get the side-event sensibly organised. One session had as theme “Climate services as vehicles of innovation and resilience building”, in which H2020 projects, focused on climate services development and markets*, were presenting.

The side-event (Climate innovations for low-carbon and climate-resilient transitions) was well attended by approx. 40 people. A significant part of the discussion revolved around issues near to EU-MACS and MARCO, i.e. how climate service selection, fitness-for-purpose, and matching of user needs and provider’s product offer is functioning and what can be improved.
